About this show The 2025 Great Lakes sail racing season began, and we check in with the first GL-52 series event, the Big Red Regatta, conducted in Lake Michigan from the shores of Macatawa Bay Yacht Club. John Huhn's Katana was nearly perfect as he and his crew continue to dominate the Great Lakes fleet and please peek at that section of the show because we have some interviews with a few of the best sailors in the world. We stopped in and chatted with this year's principal winners of the 101st running of the Mills Race in western Lake Erie. Inside Great Lakes Sailing talked with the overall handicapped winner Brad D'Arcangelo, who pushed his J109 to their fourth victory in 35 years and then stopped to chat with the infamous Tim Prophit, who won the ORC division of the Mills, while telling us about a five-lake challenge that ended, at least for now, because of a racing diesel engine. We finish with second annual Crescent Sail Yacht Club's One Design Regatta and apparently year two was better than a fabulous year one and the renowned Wally Cross continues his video seminars on buying sails, so please stay tuned.
