Season Six Show No. 142 Inside Great Lakes Sailing - 2025 Tartan Ten North American Championships

Show Details

The big boat races are long gone for the summer of 2025, but we are still challenging for regional and national titles. The Tartan Ten North American Championships were held on Lake Erie this past week and we checked in with five-time winner, including this year, Trey Sheehan, who edged his brother and business partner, Michael Sheehan and John Evans. The event has headquartered at North Cape Yacht Club, who always seem to put on a great show. And staying a little south for this episode, Cleveland to be exact, we chatted with the Langolf sisters, Hadley and Charlotte, who recently represented the Great Lakes in the annual Sears Cup, a US Sailing Junior Championship that was staged at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco a race that began in 1921. The duo finished close, but in the back of the pack, but came away with some real knowledge, experience and a few tales to tell. Wally Cross tells how to put thought to action when racing and stay tuned for next week when Reliance takes to the racecourse for this first time this year to see what we can accomplish.
