KTWH-LP Featured Focus Artist - Sleepy Bones Allison

Show Details

"Sleepy Bones Allison (age 18) took up guitar when he was five. Primarily self-taught, he specializes in blues music, particularly in the style of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. In addition to SRV, his influences include Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Cray, and Craig Erickson. Sleepy also writes his own numbers, such as the slow-blues lament "Too Young to Play the Blues" and the harder-driving "Ride the Storm." Sleepy has performed at the Iowa State Fair, the Chicago House of Blues, Reggie's Rock House, Famous Dave's at Calhoun Square, Wilebski's Blues Saloon, and The Redstone Room, as well as other venues and festivals around Iowa. He has appeared multiple times at the Cherokee Jazz and Blues Festival." Sleepy, aka Paul, has spent many summer days on the North Shore and looks forward to returning. We're looking forward to seeing what he brings us next time!
